Butchers move to enhance hygiene in Gwags

The Association of Butchers in Gwagwalada Area Council has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the association for the period of four years, just as the body has vowed to ensure hygienic processing of meat to consumers.
Those elected are Alh. Aminu Lawan, chairman, Idris Dodo, secretary, Fidelis Osagie as treasurer and Bashir Sani clinched the position of financial secretary. 
While handing over at the swearing in ceremony, the chief of butchers in charge of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Nura Rimi, enjoined the new exco to discharge their duties with the fear of God and in accordance with the constitution of the association.
Responding, the new chairman, Aminu Lawan, assured members that his leadership would construct a befitting abattoir in order to enhance hygiene of meat processing in the area.
He appealed to the council to support the association to enable it realize some of its lofty programmes, while he pledged his association’s readiness to support government’s policies and programmes.
