FCTA DOT proceeds on pre-retirement leave

The Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Director of Treasury, Alhaji Ibrahim Bomai, has proceeded on pre-retirement leave in line with civil service procedure.
Our correspondent learnt that the FCT minister, Malam Muhammad Bello, had approved Bomai’s pre-retirement leave after serving eight years in that capacity.
It was also learnt that the outgoing director has handed over to the most senior deputy director in charge of finance, Alhaji Ishaiku Ismaila, pending the appointment of a substantive director.
The outgoing DOT, who was born on February 10, 1960 in Maiduguri, Borno state, hails from Potishkum, Yobe state and obtained his Masters in Business Administration from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University in Bauchi state in 1999.
As a young man with passion for education, Bomai has after he had successfully completed his HND in Accounting went for his post graduate Diploma in Management before he did his master’s programme in Business Administration.
Bomai has held sensitive positions such as Deputy Director, Auditor General for FCT Area Councils until when he was appointed to the post of Director of Treasury, FCTA in 2008.
