The chairman of Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, Gwagwalada division, Bishop Chikwendu Williams, has given indication that he is seeking legal redress to stop the factional executive of the committee from parading itself as leaders.
Williams during interaction with journalists in Gwagwalada alleged that there was no dissolution of the exco, neither had they committed fraud or impeachment processes were carried out rather some group gathered to conduct kangaroo election when he was out of Gwagwalada for treatment.
The chairman condemned the act describing it as unconstitutional saying that the ideal thing to be done was to serve him a query or panel to be set up to investigate the exco if there were allegations of fraud.
He said, “I got a notice as ex- chairman of PCRC. I’m still the incumbent chairman duly elected with one year tenure. I had a serious health challenge and I was hospitalized. Before I come back there was a coup. I was told that the exco was dissolved. The act was against the law nobody has the right to dissolve an elected body without proving substantial allegations.”
