The flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Abdullahi Yunusa, has tasked the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to be impartial and provide level playing ground to all political parties participating in the 2016 FCT area council poll.

The politician, who spoke to The Abuja Inquirer, also called on the people of Gwagwalada to vote for him noted that the council required change of leadership.

He assured residents of the area that when elected he would implement programmes and policies that would take the area to greater height, saying that his government would give priority to youth empowerment, rehabilitation of roads, education and refuse evacuation.

The PDP flag bearer frowned at the dilapidated condition of infrastructure in Gwagwalada and its environs, promising to provide dividends of democracy to cushion the effect of poverty and unemployment at the grassroots.

The candidate also commended security chiefs in Gwagwalada for the relative peace during the yuletide and called on them to continue to tackle criminality for the development of the area council.
