FCTA disburses N2.4bn to area councils in January

The Federal Capital Territory Administration disbursed the sum of N2, 419, 343, 771.26 billion to the six area councils being monies accruing to the councils for the month of January, 2018. 

The figure represents about 1.06 percent increase when compared to N2.2 billion the Federal Capital Territory Administration disbursed to the area councils for the month of December, 2017. 

Figures made available to our correspondent shows that at the end of FCT Area Councils Joint Account Allocation Committee, JAAC, the sum of N2, 419, 343, 771,.26 billion was disbursed to the six councils for the month of January 2018. 

The breakdown of the figures show that the Abuja Municipal Area Council got the highest allocation of N556, 491, 493.78, followed by Bwari area council with the total sum of N403, 328, 014.09, while Gwagwalada area council got the sum of N377, 218, 653.02 for the same period of January 2018. 

Others include Kwali with the total sum of N369, 340, 012.49, while Kuje area council received the total sum of N366, 687, 195.79 and Abaji area council got the lowest allocation of N346, 368, 402.09 for the same period of January 2018, bringing the total allocation to N2, 419, 343, 771.26.
