Bwari hospital provides skeletal services to patients

Bwari general hospital has been providing skeletal services to patients following the lingering Joint Health Workers Staff Union strike action.

A visit by our correspondent to the hospital revealed that despite the ongoing strike, the management of the hospital has put in place measures to give medical services to the residents.

Our correspondent noticed that aside the reduction of large number of patients, some service points and departments in the hospital such as medical record, antenatal section, dental clinic, eye clinic, GOPD and male and female wards were open for services.

Some patients, Mr. Abila Markus and Maryam Sani, appreciated the efforts of the management of the hospital for not allowing the strike to ground health services in the hospital, just as they appealed to the striking workers to suspend the strike in the interest of patients.
