AMAC boss, Candido, declares for 2019

 

The chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Hon. Abdullahi Candido, has finally declared his intention to continue in 2019 as chairman of the council. 

Candido, who made this declaration at a town hall meeting at the AMAC Hall, Apo Resettlement to mark his two years in office also said, "I wish to offer myself once again to serve my people in this council as you have demonstrated your trust in me." 

He said his intention to seek re-election was to complete the good works aimed at taking the council to its dreamland. Commemorating his two years in office,

The AMAC boss used the occasion to commission over 10 projects which he started and completed. 

"We need to pray for our nation and make sure that President Muhammad Buhari comes back for the sake of our children and the development of our nation. 

"I wish to offer myself once again to serve my people as you have all demonstrated your trust in me, together we shall complete the good work we have started and make AMAC our dream land," the chairman said. 

He said that his desire was to leave behind a council that was economically viable, adding that he would not rest on his oars until AMAC was completely transformed. 

The projects are: A Healthcare centre at Karon Majigi and electrification project at Tungan Madaki and commissioned an electrification project that has been completed and the rural community enjoying light.

Among the on-going projects inspected were the Utako Ultra-Modern Market where the plaza under construction would be delivered in 30 days. 

Mrs. Rahmat Abdullahi, Supervising Counselor for Education and Social service lauded the council chairman achievements, adding that his achievements speaks volume of the party's change mantra. 

Mr. Abbas Baba, the APC chairman, AMAC commended Candido for delivering the dividends of democracy to residents, adding that the party was proud of his achievements.
