Yuletide: New Nyanya motors hail Ameachi, Bello for transport ease

Foremost transport company, New Nyanya Motors, has commended the ministers of transport and Federal Capital Territory, Rotimi Amaechi and Mohammed Bello, respectively, for the tremendous improvement in the transportation sector in the last quarter of 2015.

Chairman of the transport group, Chief Heinz Onah, observed that the supervision of the duo yielded an almost accident free yuletide, which is he said is part of the Change agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.

Onah, who made this known, weekend, in one of his terminus in Nyanya, Abuja, while carrying out the routine drivers’ safety sensitization of the organization, expressed the hope that the present administration holds much potential for Nigerians, given the experienced hands in the cabinet.

According to him, Amaechi and Bello are implementing these prospects already in the transportation sector as exemplified during the yuletide season, as the usual multiple traffic experienced in several part of the country especially in the FCT drastically reduced, thereby aiding the transporters to achieve their contracts with passenger without much hassles.

“We get reports from our drivers on a daily basis on the activities of regulators, which inform the reason we need to commend them to do more.

“For instant, the transportation unit of the FCTA is now more proactive and when you ask them they tell you that their new bosses, that is the FCT and Transportation ministers, have set standards that should not be compromised.”

The transport boss however said “we will continue to ask for more, we want an enabling environment to do business, government should also empower the Federal Road Safety Corps with adequate funding to do more.

“I am confident that those of us in the private sector are willing to support government to achieve the desired change for the good of all Nigerians.”
