Motorists commend FERMA over G/lada-Izom road

Motorists plying the Gwagwalada –Izom federal road have commended the Federal Road Maintenance Agency, FERMA, on the recent maintenance of the road.

In a chat with The Abuja Inquirer, the motorists said the rehabilitation of the road has brought a sigh of relief especially during the rainy season period.

The motorists tasked the agency to sustain the gesture, noting that the maintenance work would in no small measure prevent continuous deterioration on some sections of road as well as would serve as erosion control.

When contacted the Federal Roads Maintenance Engineer in charge of FCT, Mr. Omameh Ambrose, explained that the project which is by direct labour will be completed in two weeks.

He warned FCT residents against cutting of road to lay pipes without seeking permission from the Department of Control Federal Highways under Ministry of Works, Power and Housing, just as he cautioned them against blocking of drainages through indiscriminate dumping of refuse.
