STAGGERING NOT AT GOD’S PROMISE
STAGGERING NOT AT GOD'S PROMISE
"(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
God is a Promiser, we are the promisee. The promise of God is the fuel that keeps us going in life. If God have given you a promise, just be very sure, you heard clearly from him and stick to it, for it will yield results. Once God gives a promise, hold on to it, it will surely come to pass. God's word is active but for us to inherit the Promise, we need belief and faith. Belief is the wheel on which faith will thrive.
"And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord."
The best compendium of God's promises is the word of God: God's word is active and not passive. The promises of God is not a shortcut to success, achievements and .
Our inability to hear God is the cause of our staggering: We stagger because we have not ascertained the voice of God. God speaks to us through his still small voice, until we maximize what we hear, we do not harness God's blessings.
Factors That Hinder God's Promises
1. When we are weak in faith: Weakened in faith is discouraging, as it hinders God's movement in actions and reactions to our situations. Faith is a propeller and it crystalizes for results. We should not be weak in faith, if we must get to the peak of our destiny.
Romans 4:19 KJV
"And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb:"
2. Doubts: Doubting God can make him delay your blessings or see you as not worthy to be the recipient of his miracles. Doubting God is a licence for stagnation, limitation and retrogression. Faith is the antidote for doubts.
"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."
James 1:8: "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."
3. Unbelief: This is not believing in God and his abilities. Belief is the key for activating his promises. Strengthen your belief system, your faith and spiritman will be encouraged. Unbelief is a killer of next level, achievements and greatness.
Mark 11:24 KJV
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them ."
4. When we recognise the storms more than God: Storms are distractions to arriving at our place of destination. When storms come, they are part of life that promotes, elevates or announces us. If the storm is concentrated on, there will be demotion but if we maximize the storms for our benefits, we would overcome. Storms are attackers on the promises but we must not be discouraged, because beyond the storm is our testimony. Storms are not sweet nor pleasant, but when you look at it later in life, you would thank God for it.
