PCRC organises acquisition programme in Madalla
The chairman, Police Community Relations Committee, PCRC, in Madalla, a suburb of Suleja local government area of Niger State, Rev. Olomofe Taiwo, has said that the committee has organized a skills acquisition programme for the residents aimed at reducing criminality in the area.
He disclosed this while chatting with our correspondent, noting that the measure his leadership took was to make youths of the area self-reliant with a view to reducing the high level of unemployment.
Taiwo noted that PCRC would continue to work closely with the police to protect the lives and property of the citizens, just as he implored residents of Madalla and environs to regard crime fighting and control as a collective responsibility.
The chairman reiterated the commitment of members of the committee to complement police in tackling the menace of robbery and theft, even as he enjoined members of the public to cultivate the habit of providing useful information that would assist the police in fighting crimes.
Contributing, the Divisional Police Office, DPO, in charge of C Division, CSP Adamu Danjuma appreciated the contributions of members of PCRC in combating crime head long in Madalla, just as he stressed the commitment to work with other security agencies.
