PWD commend Buhari for signing disability bill

The National Leader of People with Disability, PWD, Misbahu Didi, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for assenting to the Disability Bill after suffering series of rejections under previous administrations. 

Didi gave the commendation at the APC national secretariat in Abuja during a press briefing saying he and the rest members of the group are grateful to the president and all stakeholders for considering them worthy by signing the bill into law. 

‘’We thank the Almighty God for given us the opportunity to be part of this struggles and history that lasted for over 17 years and ended positively. 

‘’We thank the reliable government of the APC led by an honest and trustworthy man President Muhammadu Buhari who has given the PWDs freedom that other party rulers failed to do even by haven the opportunity to rule for 16 years’’, he said.  

He also thanked the leadership of the National Assembly and all lovers of persons with disabilities for their efforts in ensuring the bill was debated and eventually made to see the light of the day. 

Earlier, the SSA to Mr. President on Disability Matters, Dr. Samuel Ankeli, in his contribution expressed deep appreciation to the president for signing the bill into law, maintaining that the president has always shown that he cares for their interest where it matters most.
