FCTA gets new chief press secretary

 The Federal Capital Territory Minister, Malam Muhammad Bello has approved the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ogunleye, as chief press secretary for the administration. 

This was contained in a press statement by the special assistant in charge of media to minister, Malam Abubakar Sani, and made available to our correspondent. 

His appointment follows the retirement from service of the former CPS Mr. Cosmas Uzodinma on February 7, 2019 after attaining sixty years of age. 

Ogunleye, who is an Assistant Director of Information, is currently the Head of Information and Communications of the FCT Education Secretariat. 

The 47-year-old CPS hails from Ekiti State, and a graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri in Borno State.

He is bringing in a vast on-the-job experience spanning over twenty years.  

A recipient of ministerial recommendation for his outstanding qualities, the new CPS is also a renowned public speaker and has anchored many local and international events for the Federal Capital Territory Administration.

The appointment is with immediate effect.
