PTA moves to balance academics, sports in GSS Gwagwalada

The leadership of Parents Teachers Association of Government Secondary School, GSS, Gwagwalada has moved to balance between academic and sporting activities in the school. 

Chairman of the association, Alh. Isah Hassan, disclosed this in chat with journalists during the 23rd annual inter-house competition organised by the school. 

The chairman noted that part of the measure the PTA adopted to enhance academic performance of the students was in the area of employment of more PTA teachers to augument shortage of manpower in the school. 

He also stated that association has deemed it fit to sink bore-hole in both Boys and Girls hostels aimed at tackling shortage of water supply in the school. 

Hassan reiterated committee of the association to complement the efforts of the school authorities in the area of discipline, just as he commended the principal, Alh. Sani Ladan, for laying a good foundation in the school.
