Kuje DPO wants establishment of police outpost in difficult terrains
The Division Police Officer, DPO, in charge of Kuje area council, Harrison Oruruo, has appealed to the chairman of the council, Hon. Abdullahi Sabo, to establish police outposts in difficult terrains in the area.
He made the appeal last week when he received the chairman of the council in his office who was on familiarisation tour, even as he intimated him on the daunting challenges of conducting patrol activities in Kuje and environs.
Oruruo, a Chief Superintendent of Police informed the chairman's entourage that the divisional police headquarters need to be upgraded as well as additional patrol vans are required to enhance operation.
The DPO called on the traditional rulers in the area to form vigilante groups in their various domain to assist the police in curbing criminal activities in the area.
Earlier, the chairman of the council, Hon. Abdullahi Sabo said that he was in the station to seek the collaboration of all security chiefs working in the area aimed at boosting their morale in the area of crime fighting.
Sabo promised to look into the challenges being faced by the security officers, just as he commended them on the significant role they played in ensuring peaceful coexistence during the last elections in Kuje.
