Police move to stem robbery along Suleja road

Motorists plying Suleja-Lambata and Zuba-Tafa roads have expressed satisfactions over the security measures put in place in Suleja local government with a view to checkmating robbery activities in the area.

Some motorists who spoke to The Abuja Inquirer revealed that the robbery incidents along the two major roads had reduced drastically, noting that the act was as a result of constant patrol embarked upon by patrol officers under Suleja police area command.

A member of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Comrade Patrick Jonathan, said that members of the union using the roads were now having a sigh of relief transporting passengers without facing the menace of robbers.

Jonathan applauded the Area Commander in charge of Suleja, ACP Isah Rambo, for showing exemplary leadership for the DPOs under Suleja command to emulate.

Also contributing, a resident Alh. Haruna Dauda, said that the police have equally tackled cultism at Gauraka a suburb in Tafa local government of the state.

He said that residents of Suleja and environs at present have been enjoying relative peace following constant police patrol in the criminal hideouts in the area.

Dauda encouraged police to sustain the fight against kidnapping and drug related offences aimed at reducing crime to the barest minimum.
