Uniabuja ASUU earmarks N104m for secretariat

The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, University of Abuja chapter, has earmarked N104 million to build a new secretariat at the main campus. 

At the foundation laying ceremony, National President of the union, Dr. Nasir Fagge, praised the executives of the union for initiating such a laudable project, noting that when competed it would give members a befitting office environment for carrying out efficient academic activities. 

The president implored ASUU members from other institutions to emulate quality leadership of the current chairman of University of Abuja branch for upgrading the mini-ASUU secretariat, even as he enjoined academics to always give necessary support and cooperation to leadership of the union. 

The UniAbuja ASUU chairman, Dr. Ben Ugheoke, expressed commitment of members to complete the projectin three years, saying his leadership would continue to meet the yearning and aspirations of members aimed at enhancing their productivity.
