Kuje APC candidate’s documents in order – Party chairman

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kuje area council, Mr. Godwin Oyi, has dispelled the notion by some of the party’s members that the documents of its chairmanship candidate in the March 19, 2016 council election, Alhaji Abdullahi D. Galadima, are not in order.

Oyi at a press conference last Thursday at the party’s office in Kuje, said the protest by some members of the party calling for a replacement of its candidate for alleged dismissal from civil service, was misplaced as Galadima had at no time worked in the civil service.

He further said all the required documents were also certified by the State Security Services, SSS, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and other relevant security agencies as required by the INEC guidelines.

He said the party was dismayed to read in the media that its candidate was dismissed from the civil services before joining politics, saying those who staged a protest are not members of the APC, even as he alleged that the protest was sponsored by the opposition in the area.

“As far as APC is concerned, our party’s candidate was validly elected at the primaries under free, fair and credible process which was monitored by INEC, while all his documents were thoroughly screened and satisfied by both INEC, SSS and screening committee. So it is funny to read in the media that our candidate was dismissed from service,” he said
